Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about working with N-Able Health.
Pricing & fees
Do you take a percentage of my revenue?+
No. We charge one flat fee and never take a cut of what you earn. "3–5% of billing" is just a way to picture the value — it's not a share of your revenue, and your contract is a flat rate.
How much will it cost my practice?+
Your exact rate is set by your Free Books Analysis. It's typically 3–5% of your billing and almost always about half of what you're paying now — with EMR, scribe, and management included.
Are there setup or hidden fees?+
No hidden fees. The optional Fast-Start ($5,000, one-time) is the only add-on, and it's entirely your choice.
Contracts & commitment
Is there a long contract?+
Autopilot is a one-year term; Accelerator is a five-year partnership. Both start with a 60-day mutual exit — either side can walk in the first 60 days, no penalty.
What happens if I leave?+
You take your data with you — full export, anytime. It never left your building to begin with.
Your data & security
Where does my patient data live?+
Inside your practice. Our AI runs on-premise, so patient information isn't shipped to a remote cloud.
Do you sign a HIPAA BAA?+
Always — before any patient information is shared.
Who owns my data?+
You do, completely, and you can export it on demand.
Switching to N-Able
Do I have to change my EMR?+
Usually not — we'll cover exactly what makes sense for your practice in your Free Books Analysis.
Will switching disrupt my practice?+
We handle migration for you, and Fast-Start exists specifically to make the move fast and smooth. Most practices feel the upside (cleaner collections, less admin) quickly.
Autopilot vs. Accelerator
What's the difference?+
Autopilot runs your back office and recovers lost revenue. Accelerator does all of that and actively grows the practice — marketing, payer contracts, and a dedicated strategist.
Which should I start with?+
Most practices start on Autopilot and add Accelerator when they're ready to grow. Every practice qualifies for Autopilot; Accelerator is by application.
The Free Books Analysis
Is it really free?+
Yes — free, no obligation, and the written report is yours to keep no matter what you decide.
What do you need from me?+
Your billing and scheduling reports (most export in a few clicks), or read-only access so we pull them ourselves under a signed BAA.
Trust & compliance
Are you compliant in my state?+
We're built for compliance in all 50 states — flat fees, on-premise data, and clear ownership lines are designed to hold up everywhere we operate.
What is a Public Benefit Company?+
A company legally chartered to pursue a mission, not only profit. Ours is the success of independent practices — so we do well only when you do.
